Yes and Yes - everything is provided. This includes a briefing, equipment, morning or afternoon tea, snacks and drinks, as well as giveaways. All courts are indoors in the wonderful RMIT sports complex. Just bring a water bottle and comfy runners for playing in.

No. If you have never played before - don't worry - it is very easy and you will pick it up on the day with the support of our great partners - Social Pickleball Australia. It's all about the fun and giggles. There will be separate finals created for those more competitive amongst you too.

A team is 2 people. Register multiple teams for some friendly competition among friends and colleagues.

There are two separate round-robin tournaments. Your team chooses which tournament you enter - morning or afternoon. Each session starts with a briefing, instructions on how to play and the chance to practice before the tournament begins.

Wear comfortable clothes that allow movement. Runners, shorts and a comfy top are recommended, or gym gear if you prefer. Or coordinate with your team mates! Prizes available for best dressed team!

There is plenty of parking, and public transport too. The RMIT Sports Centre is located within Building 203, accessed via Clements Drive through Gate 2 on McKimmies Road, Bundoora. The main entrance to the RMIT Sports Centre is approximately 200m up Clements Drive.

You'll receive an email with a link to your fundraising page. Share the link on LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram; by SMS or WhatsApp; or email and call your colleagues, friends and family. Tell them why Pickleball may be a challenge for you, and why you're raising funds to help the 1 in 6 children living in poverty in Melbourne. Every donation, no matter the size, will help local kids in crisis.

When you're talking about why you are fundraising, make sure you speak personally. People are chipping in because this cause is important to you. Tell a personal story about why you've taken this incredible step to fundraise for us. Share with your friends and family the shocking statistic that 1 in 6 children in Melbourne are living in poverty. A family can be coping well, until unexpected circumstances tip them over the edge into poverty. Big Group Hug is here to provide critical children’s aid while their parent or caregiver gets back on their feet.

Donating to yourself is a great way to get started. It'll show donors that your committed, and you've broken the ice by going first. In your dashboard just click "Sponsor myself" to chip in to your campaign.
